I was thinking back through my life.... how many times have I been guided by the Spirit. It is so many that I can't count.

There are times that I really prayed very hard for help with my school work. I had such a hard time comprehending things when I read them. I still often have that problem... I sometimes have to read something several times before I truly understand it.

When I was in the seventh grade... I think that would put me at eleven years old at the time... I did a book report. The book was about Ulysses. I honestly don't remember if it was the book that James Joyce is so famous for or not. The day of the report came and I was so nervous. There was to be an oral report to go along with the written report I did. I was and am still very shy. The teacher called my name I took a deep breath; said a little prayer; and walked to the front of the room. My classmates became a blur to my eyes. I said my report and my teacher said I had done well as I handed her my written report. I received excellent grades on my oral and written reports. I had very happy parents. I was happy too and thankful that Someone stood beside me as I read the book, wrote my report and gave my oral report.

We need to remember to ask for guidance and help as we walk through our lives.

We bought a few plants today. I'll tell you more about them later.

  3. Hi Zaroga, I was like that too. It was not easy to get up and talk. I am so glad it did not happen allot.
I think I could do it now I am not as shy any more. Hubby said I would talk for hours with a perfect stranger. I though about it and he was right. With not having any of my friend here. All I had was the phone and the computer, till Amy moved this way. Have a great week end.

  4. We all need to hear this over and over. Thanks Zaroga for posting this. You had great faith even as a young girl. And He proved himself then to you.

It amazes me that sometimes I still don't get it how closely God is tuned into us- each one- and our needs. It truly is amazing love.
He cares about everything we do.

    Again, thanks Zaroga:)

    Have a wonderful weekend,
    Hugs,
    Linda

  5. I am a visual learner and so take reading things a couple of times, too, It does help me to have a pen and high lighter and as I read slowly I mark important parts by putting a star in margin or maybe just a tiny mark but I then know that is important.
One way I really feel led is when I am looking for something. I tell the Lord I really need to find where I placed it and so often it is revealed quickly! Also when I was a teenager my pastor told me when I was in hurry and needed a parking place to pray and the Lord would understand. I totally believe that!

  6. I too have to read things several times before they sink in. I can watch or have someone show me and catch on alot sooner.

I know what you are talking about with those VA peaches, we stopped at a little orchard on the way home and they were about to close and they gave us a free frozen smoothie with the peaches they had already sliced up. It was delish and we bought a small bag to eat on the way home. We caught them at perfection.
