Friday Shoot Out - Doors and Windows

This week's topic of Doors and Windows was suggested by Kerri at Pop Rocks. If you would like to look at more works or join in just click on this camera for more information.

I would like to apologize for not getting around to look at everyone's post in last week's challenge. I hope to make the rounds this weekend.

This is the door of the loft of Frank's workshop.

Workshop Loft Door

This is the door with window of our travel trailer. We hope to be using this door soon :-)

I like the windows of this old silo in the nearby community of Sasser.

This window is in Mama's sitting room... you know the room nobody sits in.

  1. window in your mother's sitting room is great - does she have an older home or did she have this installed now. I love stained glass - it changes the colors in the room completely - maybe you should sit in there more often (with your mother!)

  4. I love the door on your trailer. It says, "Come away with me," doesn't it? Although maybe not to Sasser... Sasser looks like it has seen better days! That's not the only way into Frank's workshop, is it? I hope you have a sturdy ladder. The room nobody sits in has the most exquisite window. I think i would be in that room frequently. What direction does it face? Lovely shoot out today! Thanks for this thoughtful post!

  5. What a lovely stained glass window in your mom's 'parlor'. I do not use my living room either, but I like to have a clean room where I can invite in a surprise guest.
Norman Rockewell, such a fantastic contributor to 'Americana' institution.
Happy and safe Labor Day Weekend to you.

  6. If I had a stained glass window like that, you bet I'd be sitting in the room!

  8. Beautiful windows..and WHY is there a sitting room if no one SITS in it!!?? Does that mean it just sits by itself?

  9. My favorite is the silo. It's so mysterious. And the stained glass window is just gorgeous....so full of light. I really like your first photo also. I think you have quite a good mix here.

  13. I always think it would be total luxury to have a sitting room that no-one sits in. Maybe the other rooms/windows are more beautiful? Love the silo windows. As always, your photos are beautiful.

  18. I'd like to sit in your mama's sitting room and enjoy that window - it's beautiful. My mom has one of those rooms also. It is all white and I think everyone is afraid to go in there!

I also like the silo shot. Farms are so photogenic!

  19. Love the silo. Looks like one that I remember from Georgia. It still stands, in a grocery store parking lot.

Beautiful light on the stained glass window.

Let me know when your next trip is? Can I stowaway in your RV?

  20. There is nothing to wish for in a great style of doors and windows. It looks like an elegant look that find its own motif. I rather think of this kind of shots than to see more of drawings which imitates the original. Every person feels they are too special which this doors and windows showed.
