Outing Yesterday

~

This was my first outing since surgery to somewhere besides a doctor's office. We went to Sam's Club after lunch yesterday. I told Frank I wanted to go with him. I knew Sam's Club wouldn't be busy that time of day... everyone is at the mall, Wal*Mart, Target and K-Mart. We walked to the back of the store and back to the front of the store. I did sit down while Frank checked out. We got a few books to read when our minds are up to it again.

After shopping we took a little ride out in the countryside. It was nice to be out and about.

A couple of days ago Frank was looking for something in the attic. He asked me if I wanted any Christmas decoration down. I told him the wreath would suffice. Maybe tomorrow I will take a picture of the wreath and post to the blog.

I need to get Christmas cards out. I will have to sit at the desktop computer to print the labels. I know handwritten is more personable, but my handwriting is so bad that I'm sure the post office appreciates the labels.

Christmas is forever, not for just one day,
for loving, sharing, giving, are not to put away
like bells and lights and tinsel, in some box upon a shelf.
The good you do for others is good you do yourself...

  2. Zaroga - getting out and about is good for body and soul. Glad you were able to take a little trip. You're coming right along. If you have a wreath out for Christmas you have more than I do. Just can't get the spirit this year. Maybe this weekend.

  3. There's nothing like getting out when you have been housebound like you have been. I'm so glad you're doing so well. Keep it up.

  4. That was great. You will have to take a camera with you and take road trip photos. They help to brighten your day. I have a lazy boy in front of the computer it makes it way better to use the computer.
