Janome Sewing Machine

A few years back I wanted to replace my cabinet sewing machine with a portable sewing machine.  I mostly just patch things now, but sometimes will make something.   I wanted a machine that did basic sewing and could easily be stored out of the way.

We went to our local sewing machine store and I test drove several machines.  The sales lady explained all the differences between them.

The option that sold me on the Janome Sewist 500 was the needle threader.  Just put the thread so....

.. and release and voilà! it is threaded.

Now if I could only learn how to use all the stitches this machine can do.
